About Michelle

Michelle Buhay Tigley, CFE, is a dynamic and detail-oriented professional with over 15 years of experience supporting executive leadership across the legal, technology, logistics, franchising, and corporate sectors.

She currently serves as Events Coordinator at the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA), where she is responsible for planning and executing high-impact events that support the growth and integrity of franchising in Canada. Her role involves coordinating logistics, managing stakeholder communications, and ensuring the success of national conferences and events.

Michelle also recently joined Liu Chooti Law & Counselling Group as an Administrative Assistant, where she contributes her legal training and organizational strengths to support the firm’s commitment to compassionate and accessible legal services.

A Juris Doctor graduate from the University of Cebu in the Philippines. In 2024, she earned the Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) designation—recognizing her leadership and professional achievement within the franchise sector.

Since relocating to Mississauga, Ontario, Michelle has remained deeply engaged in her community. She is a dedicated mother of two, including a daughter who is a competitive swimmer, and actively volunteers with her daughter’s swim club, reflecting her commitment to youth development and community involvement.
